Lincoln City trophy

As we work with the Lincoln City Foundation we were very lucky to have the league trophy in school today.

Creswell Crags

On the 24th June, Class Three from both schools visited Creswell Crags to learn about life in the Ice Age. This was one of the hottest days of the year! We had a great day learning about how prehistoric people lived and hunted. We built our own survival shelters and went into a cave to learn about the tools they used.

Sports Day

The 17th June was sports day. We had a lovely afternoon with a range of traditional and fun competitive races.

Aylmerton Residential Weekend

The walk across the mud flats to Blakeney Point

 Hunting Lug Worms

We had a wonderful afternoon hunting for semi-precious stones on Blakeney Point.

Cruising on the Norfolk Broads

Sunita Patel and the Indian Experience

On the 2nd June Sunita Patel from the Indian Experience joined us for the day. She taught us a lot about Indian culture and what Hindu's believe. We had great fun learning Indian dance. We learnt about not making assumptions about India in work that challenged stereotypes.

Padock to Plate Festival of Farming

In May 'Farmer Joe' from 4 On The Farm kindly invited both schools to his farm. We had an amazing day learning about where food and other natural resources like wool come from. A huge thanks to Joes family and all the organisations that supported this amazing event...

Farmer Joe

In June 2025 a Roman came to visit our school.

We learnt about what life was like for a Roman Legionaire.

No children were actually hurt!

The Roman made fire without matches and cooked Roman food.

VE Day May 8th 2025

KS2 children visited Metheringham Airfield Museum to learn about our local area's contribution to the war effort. Mr Scoley showed us the map of the airfield, and we could see how close our school was to it.

We explored the museum and learnt about the brave women and men who risked their lives to keep our country safe.

We explored the Dakota transport plane which was used during WWII.

We got to climb inside the plane. The cockpit is really tiny and full of complicated looking controls.

We ended the day with prayers at the memorial.
