In June 2025 a Roman came to visit our school.
We learnt about what life was like for a Roman Legionaire.
No children were actually hurt!
The Roman made fire without matches and cooked Roman food.
VE Day May 8th 2025
KS2 children visited Metheringham Airfield Museum to learn about our local area's contribution to the war effort. Mr Scoley showed us the map of the airfield, and we could see how close our school was to it.
We explored the museum and learnt about the brave women and men who risked their lives to keep our country safe.
We explored the Dakota transport plane which was used during WWII.
We got to climb inside the plane. The cockpit is really tiny and full of complicated looking controls.
We ended the day with prayers at the memorial.
